Beneficial-Insect Companions Worth the Bed Space

Dill is a reliable pick for pulling in parasitic wasps and hoverflies, both of which prey on aphids and, to a lesser extent, small caterpillar pests that occasionally show up on arugula. It doesn’t compete much for light or root space if kept to the bed’s edge, which makes it a low-cost addition.
