Bone Meal vs Blood Meal: One Feeds Roots, the Other Fixes Yellow Leaves

What Each Product Actually Is

Blood meal is dried, powdered animal blood — almost exclusively from beef processing. It is one of the highest-nitrogen organic materials available, running approximately 12-0-0 on the NPK label (nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium). There is essentially no phosphorus or potassium worth measuring.

Blood Meal: The Fast Nitrogen Fix

Blood meal is the amendment to reach for when nitrogen is the confirmed deficiency. Can You Use Both?
